Olympic National Park Five Ounce Silver Coins
The US Mint made the eighth release of the new bullion series available to authorized purchasers on May 24, 2011. That was when the Olympic National Park 5 oz. Silver Bullion Coins were first available for ordering. Later in the year, the US Mint also released a numismatic version of the coin for sale directly to collectors.
The reverse design of the coin features a Roosevelt elk stepping onto a gravel river bar of the Hoh River. This peaceful scene has a view of Mount Olympus towering in the background.
