2010 Grand Canyon National Park Five Ounce Silver Coins
The Grand Canyon National Park 5 oz silver bullion coin was issued by the United States Mint as part of a new series. The coins have a wide diameter of 3 inches and bear designs that are duplicates of the corresponding quarters. The granaries above the Nankoweap Delta in Marble Canyon near the Colorado River are shown.
Distributed by the US Mint's authorized purchaser network, the America the Beautiful Silver Bullion Coins had a mintage of 33,000 units per design. There will be another 27,000 units issued in a numismatic version, with a special finish created through a vapor blasting technique.
